Assembly & Test Technician – Electronics

Our client is one of the most innovative medical electronics companies in the UK. Due to further expansion, an opportunity has now arisen for an Assembly & Test Technician to join their team.
This role would suit an enthusiastic candidate with experience in an electronics or instrumentation production test environment, looking to develop their career with a growing company.
Reporting to the Production Manager, in this role you will be responsible for assembling and testing the company’s range of flat panel digital x-ray detectors, including both finished products and sub-components.
Your duties will include:
- inspecting and testing incoming CMOS sensors and electronics boards
- assembling and testing detectors
- repairing and reworking electronics assemblies
- completing build and quality records and generating test reports
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- experience in an electronics or instrumentation production test environment (preferably electronics)
- experience of using electronic test and measurement equipment
- the ability to hand assemble complex electro-mechanical and electro-optical assemblies
- Experience of repairing and reworking PCB assemblies, including SMT components
Additionally, as the Assembly & Test Technician you will need to demonstrate good attention to detail, a strong technical aptitude and a good level of computer literacy.
Experience of working with x-ray equipment would be beneficial to your application, as would proficiency using ATE (Automated Test Equipment), however this is not essential as training will be provided.
