Job Title: Yard Operative
Location Thetford
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
Rate: £14 per hour
On behalf of our client we are looking for Yard Operative to support their operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the yard, including loading and unloading lorries, maintaining cleanliness, assisting customers, and picking orders accurately. Holding a valid counterbalance license and having experience in heavy manual handling is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload lorries using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the yard to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Provide assistance to customers, ensuring they receive excellent service while loading their vehicles.
- Handle heavy manual tasks with care, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Accurately pick orders according to company procedures, maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Essential: Valid counterbalance license.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Physical fitness and the capability to undertake heavy manual handling tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards at all times.
- Competitive hourly rate of £14 per hour.
