Responsibilities

As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you will:

• Perform routine and cyclic maintenance on public highways.
• Undertake minor civil works including pothole repairs, kerb laying, and drainage.
• Other duties include traffic management and vegetation clearance.
• Be on standby for winter and emergency maintenance out-of-hours.

Requirements
 

• Full UK Driving Licence with 7.5 tonne or HGV Class 2 entitlement.
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Streetworks (NRSWA) Qualification.
• Previous highways experience, including black top and white work patching.
• All candidates will undergo drug and alcohol testing prior to starting and will be subject to random testing.

Desirable Qualifications
 

• Traffic Management Qualifications (TTMBC, 12D, 12AB).
• Plant Operation Tickets.

Working Hours

Choose between day and night shifts:

• Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30
• Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 19:15 – 04:45
