Senior Data Engineer – 3 Month Contract - £500 Per day – Outside IR35 - Remote

Chapman Tate Associates are partnered with forward-thinking company to hire a contract Senior Data Engineer with strong experience of working with Snowflake. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining their data warehousing solutions, with a strong focus on Snowflake. You will play a key role in data migration projects, moving data from AWS Redshift and on-prem SQL Server to Snowflake. You’ll require expertise in DBT, Rivery, Azure Blob Store, and SQL to ensure their data infrastructure is robust, scalable, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain data warehousing solutions, primarily using Snowflake.
• Utilize DBT for ELT processes, ensuring data transformations are efficient and reliable.
• Leverage hands-on experience with Rivery or other CDC tools like Fivetran to manage data ingestion and integration.
• Manage and optimize data storage using Azure Blob Store.
• Perform complex SQL queries and ensure data integrity across various platforms.
• Lead data migration projects, moving data from AWS Redshift and on-prem SQL Server to Snowflake.
• Develop and maintain star schema data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Extensive experience in data warehousing and database management.
• Proficiency in Snowflake and its various features and capabilities.
• Strong skills in DBT for effective ELT processes.
• Hands-on experience with Rivery or similar CDC tools such as Fivetran.
• Expertise in managing data storage solutions with Azure Blob Store.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex querying and data manipulation.
• Proven experience in data migrations, particularly from AWS Redshift and on-prem SQL Server to Snowflake.
• Proficiency in star schema data modeling and its application in data warehousing.
