Atkins Search are working with a successful engineering consultancy based in Derby to recruit a Senior Civil Engineering Technician to join the team.

Client

Having been in operation for over 45 years, they are an established consultancy who have become experts in their sectors and built excellent client relationships resulting in repeat business from these clients.

They have been experiencing steady growth over the past few years and are needing to strengthen their team to cope with increasing workload across the business.

They work on a wide range of projects including residential, heritage, highways, commercial and drainage. On these projects they offer clients civil and structural design services.

Role

As a Senior Civil Engineering Technician, you will be working with a great team of engineering professional with varying levels of experience. You will be a key member of the team, taking the lead on civil engineering drawings for a range of projects whilst supporting junior members of the team as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineers to understand project requirements.
• Use various software (Civil 3D, Microdrainage, AutoCAD, etc) to create accurate engineering drawings.
• Support junior members of the team and develop their skills.
• Work to tight deadlines.

Person

• Excellent communicator at all levels.
• Proficient with current Civil Engineering software.
• Experience working in a Civil Engineering Technician/Senior Civil Engineering Technician role previously.
