Escape Recruitment are working with an existing client who is a specialised Mechanical Services Contractor to recruit for an exciting opportunity. Our client is looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team, where they would be responsible for overseeing and managing projects related to mechanical engineering in various industry sectors such as construction, manufacturing, and transportation.

You would work on up to 15 projects at any one time, ranging from 1 day to 6 weeks and with a value from circa £1,000 - £500,000 installations.

The role:

• Review handover information from estimating team.
• Arrange site meetings/ site visits and prestart meetings.
• Plan all works including but not limited to job pack, programme, RAMS, CPP (where applicable), drawings and sketches and material lists.
• Arrange plant/equipment and materials deliveries and arrange engineers to attend through the Operations Director and Contract Manager.
• Clear communication with clients throughout all works to completion.
• Manage quality of work, spend and report on margin.
• Solve engineering issues.
• Report H&S issues to the Business Director.
• Occasionally price variations on your job and get instruction.
• Attend weekly Operational meetings for labour planning and monthly job margin reviews.

About you:

• SVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering/ Construction Management or ideally relevant Mechanically biased qualification.
• Experience in managing multiple mechanical engineering projects at any time.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems ideally.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
