To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Head of Group Distribution Performance to come and join our team at our Leicester site (LE67 6HS).

As the lead for Ibstock Group Distribution Performance you will own the design and delivery of our UK Distribution model across all UK factories through to final delivery to our Customers. This role will require close collaboration with our Group Lead Logistics Partners, from selection through to ongoing contract management and performance reviews.  Driving continuous improvement activities whether Ibstock, Customer or Provider instigated to ensure improvement in our cost, service and EHS deliverables.  Supporting securing our future business through a cost efficient, exceptional service led model which continues to evolve.

You will possess strong commercial / negotiation skills, be willing to challenge the status quo and drive innovation into our distribution solution.  Drawing on your strong end-to-end logistics knowledge, you must be able to influence the wider business to achieve buy in for identified improvements from evaluating concepts through to realisation. You will be decisive, use data and evidence as the basis for your solution and ultimately take total accountability for the distribution solution and resulting performance.  

In order to be successful in this role, we would ideally like you to have/be:
•    Demonstrable experience managing supplier/service provider relationships – including contract formation
•    Commercially astute, understanding cost structure and areas for challenge
•    Excellent coaching and engagement skills
•    Strong analytical skills, competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point.
•    Experience of value stream mapping/process analysis to understand areas of wast
•    Ability to deliver training in use of Problem solving tools, including 5Why/8D.   
•    Passion for continuous improvement and the aptitude to support proposals for change with data and evidence
