Project Director- London

Our company is urgently seeking a result driven Project Director to be part of our projects in London. Our client is an established Joinery & Interior Fit Out Contractor with projects all over Europe offering services such as restorations of luxury hotels, Grade 1 heritage buildings, high-end arts & leisure/retails to refurbishing luxurious deluxe homes, committed to excellence, innovation and sustainability that delivers top notch services. As a Project Director you will be ensuring the projects are completed on time, within the budget and of highest quality standards, you ideally have an extensive experience in project management, strong leadership skills & proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

• Manage effective day-to-day site activities, providing directions and supporting the team to comply with the project specification and observe health & safety and ensuring project execution is safe, accurate and of highest quality standard.

• Initiate detailed project plans, schedules and budgets for large sports, leisure, events, hotel projects.

• Conduct site assessment to identify the project requirements, risks and opportunities.

• Identify and distribute resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Carry out quality control measures and procedures to identify and address construction errors and deficiencies.

• Oversee the procurement of professional consultants & contractors packages.

• Ensure that construction activities move according to the predetermined schedule.

• Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings to discuss the project developments.

• Degree in Construction Management/ Engineering or related field.

• Proven experience as Project Director involved in large scale contracts.

• Knowledge in reading, understanding and interpreting contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, project programme and project agreements.

• Strong understanding & ability to implement updated health & safety standards, regulation and codes at work.

• Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results within budget and schedule.

• Strong verbal & written communication and problem solving skills.

• Good understanding of programme management and control.

• Proficiency in project management softwares and tools.
