Commissioning Engineer/Test Engineer

I'm working with a client who is at the forefront of electrical engineering and renewable energy systems, offering personalized solutions to electrical utilities. We are looking for a Test Engineer/Commissioning Engineer to join our team of innovation-driven professionals. This role is ideal for someone with a background in electrical switchgear and a passion for contributing to the future of energy needs.

Day to day of the role:

• Conduct in-house testing and, when required, on-site cold commissioning.
• Support service commissioning with cold commissioning and testing.
• Participate in FAT Testing as necessary.
• Compile test schedules, complete testing, and produce test documentation.
• Provide support and feedback to the engineering department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• Understanding of the fundamentals of electrical switchgear, its operation, maintenance, and fault-finding.
• Familiarity with producing Technical Reports.
• Electrical testing experience.
• Background in electrical switchgear.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
• Proactive decision-making skills.
• Results-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
• IT proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft suite programs.
