DRAMA Teacher

A Good Secondary School based in Barking and Dagenham is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Drama Teacher to start in September.

The School

This Community school located in the borough of Barking & Dagenham, are looking to recruit a Drama Teacher to join their team from September. The school has the highest expectations and ambitions for every student. Through a large investment, the school has recently completed their rebuild and the facilities are fantastic.

This larger than average school are very supportive of their staff, and are always trying to better there expertise. Having been graded Good in their last Ofsted, it was stated that "Leaders make sure that staff benefit from quality training to help them to contribute towards the school's priorities. From their monitoring, leaders identify the personal training and development needs of members of staff, which they then fulfil."

The school has great public transport links nearby with a railway station and tube station both only a 10 minute walk from the school.

DRAMA TEACHER

The department work closely together to provide their students with a challenging yet engaging curriculum, encouraging them to build their confidence through performing arts. Extra-curricular activities are run throughout each term, and children of all abilities are encouraged to participate. Working with a supportive team with varying levels of experience, both newly qualified and experienced Drama teachers are welcomed to apply for this role.

The role is to start in September and will be for the autumn term in the first instance.

To be considered for this Drama Teacher role you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • PGCE in Drama
  • Experience teaching Drama to KS3 and KS4
  • The desire to join a very successful department and school
