This is a great opportunity for a Social Media Specialist to join a social media and digital business that operates and works with some of the UK and Brazil’s most prominent social media sports brands and personalities. They have an audience of over 5,000,000 passionate sports fans across a range of social platforms and websites that are rapidly growing. This role will focus on their growing US brand, and thus requires you to have a deep passion in US sports and betting.

This is an organisation that has seen continuous growth every year since 2014, with no plan on slowing down, especially in 2024 with major expansion into the US. It’s a great opportunity to join an established team of marketing professionals, SEO specialists, developers, social media experts, product managers and designers with fantastic progression on offer. In fact, most of their leaders progressed through the business.

The Role:

The role of the Social Media Specialist involves expanding their audience and reach by utilizing both organic and paid strategies, as well as producing captivating content for their US sports betting audience.

This role is for a specialist who is enthusiastic about social media trends, excels in copywriting, has a successful history of managing and enhancing social media platforms, and possesses a deep appreciation for US sports and sporting culture.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will work on a rapidly growing brand in the sports betting scene in the US, and the role will look a little like this:

  • Develop and execute strategies to boost follower numbers.
  • Produce compelling content while maintaining brand consistency and tone of voice.
  • Work with the design team to create visually attractive graphics and videos.
  • Adopt innovative methods to enhance the organic reach of content.
  • Build and maintain an active and engaged online community.
  • Quickly respond to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Keep up-to-date with new social media trends and opportunities.
  • Have a strong interest in understanding how social media algorithms distribute content.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and copywriting skills.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for US sports and sports culture.
  • Deep interest in one or multiple American sports (NFL/NBA/NHL/MLB/College Football/College Basketball). Ideally, a strong understanding of US culture as it relates to sport.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit eager to engage with a new brand.
  • Well-informed about current US sports podcasts, news, and events.
  • Interest and finger on the pulse when it comes to US sports betting.
