Expleo Engineering is working on behalf of one of the world's largest Automotive manufacturers to recruit a Body Engineer. This will be a contract role based at our clients site in Bedfordshire.

Responsibilities of the Body Engineer include:

• Delivering part and system design tasks on BIW and trim with cost, quality and timing as key metrics.
• Carrying out design activities related to innovative technologies, cost optimisation and break through ideas related to BEV vehicles.
• Studying technical, build business case and lead validation and adoption of the new design.
• Leading/supporting communication and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and experience required for the Body Engineer role:

• Minimum HNC/HND or international equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience working with metal pressings and assembly and/or trim parts.
• Extensive experience in automotive design, within a Tier One or OEM.
• Preferably experienced in the use of NX.
