About the role:

As a member of the Sessional pool here at COPC, your role will vary dependent on where your skillset lies and where the requirements are throughout the year. You would be on our books on a flexible basis, and you can be called upon to fill in staffing shortfalls if and when they appear throughout the college. Your role would provide valuable flexibility and specialised skills, assisting with fluctuating demands. Come to COPC and share your brilliance, join us for a few hours a week to share your knowledge with our learners, roles available across all curriculum subjects and for a variety of hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high quality instructive and facilitating learning experience in their area of expertise
  • Conducting demonstrations and hands-on training to enhance students practical skills and understanding (role relevant)
  • Providing constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their skills and achieve learning outcomes (role relevant)
  • Represent COPC with the upmost professionalism with every interaction
  • Handling of sensitive information with confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes diversity, equality and respect among all members of the college community

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong subject matter expertise and relevant qualifications in the area in which you will be tackling
  • Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining an approachable demeanour to aid a positive first impression and rapport building
  • Customer focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service
  • Problem solving abilities in order to resolve issues independently or collaboratively with colleagues
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage varying workloads and adjust to different environment and schedules
  • Level 5 Certificate in Education or equivalent or be willing to work towards (role relevant)
