Role: Housing Property Surveyor / Surveyor Technician / Maintenance Surveyor

Your Team:
Join our dynamic Housing Property Team, responsible for delivering essential functions to support a multi-million-pound Housing Service. Our systematic approach ensures efficient governance of property, covering maintenance, investment, health, safety, and maximizing the value from housing assets throughout their life cycle.

Your Customers:

  • Internal staff
  • Residents of our housing stock
  • Elected representatives
  • Service supply chain partners

Your Role:

  • Ensure the health, safety, and condition of housing dwellings by identifying and analyzing defects, leading to cost-effective maintenance and repair works.
  • Plan, prepare, procure, deliver, and manage capital works programs from inception to completion, ensuring projects meet time, budget, and quality standards.
  • Manage and supervise contractors responsible for inspection, risk assessment, renovation, servicing, and maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in emergency planning and standby rotas as required.
  • Conduct surveys and inspections to diagnose repair issues and order necessary remedial works. Prepare strategies, reports, and feasibility studies on related subjects.
  • Perform desktop diagnoses of customer repair inquiries to recommend effective remedial works, reducing the number of on-site inspections needed.

Health and Safety Considerations:

  • Regular use of visual display units.
  • Periods of working alone.
  • Potential risk of verbal abuse.
  • Potential risk of physical assault.

Work Pattern and Travel:

  • Standard Monday to Friday schedule with flexibility as needed.
  • Regular travel required for work-related activities.
