A leading law firm with offices across the North West is seeking an experienced solicitor to head up their Housing Disrepair Department in Manchester. This is a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team and drive the department's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Housing Disrepair Department, ensuring the delivery of exceptional legal services.
  • Supervise and support a team of solicitors and paralegals, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
  • Handle complex and high-value housing disrepair cases, providing expert legal advice and representation.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the growth and success of the department.
  • Maintain and build relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Oversee case management processes, ensuring compliance with legal standards and firm policies.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance team performance and knowledge.
  • Monitor and review the department’s performance, implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Contribute to the firm’s overall goals and objectives, participating in business development and marketing activities.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years PQE with substantial experience in housing disrepair cases.
  • Proven experience in managing or leading a team is advantageous.
  • Strong litigation and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective plans.
  • Proficiency in using case management systems.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality client service.
