A well respected civil engineering contractor have a vacancy for a Design Manager to be based out of their office in the North West. They are a civil engineering contractor who are proven within the industry, with a number of project across the board stretching across the country, they are seeking an individual with a managerial background to look after the design team on a range of different projects.

Your duties and responsibilities:

• Managing designs at the preconstruction and construction stage of projects.
• Producing and reviewing design programmes and design scopes.
• Attending and presenting at meetings with all stakeholders.
• Ensuring that design and the technical requirements are compliant to the legislation.
• Ensuring sustainability requirements are embedded within the design
• Coordinating the design team.
• Liaising with the wider project team to ensure construction adheres to design.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
• A full UK driving license
• Ability to show experience gained in a similar role (ideally major projects / tier 1 experience)
• Mobility to travel around the country when required (lodge will be covered if needed)
