Market-leading Civil Engineering contractor, operating profitably for the last 50 years, benefitting from continued workstreams from their key client network.

They specialise in a number of Civil Engineering disciplines including Infrastructure, Water, Marine, Power and Energy and can offer variety with their works. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an organisation who have an exceptionally high staff retention rate and who have a demonstrable track record of nurturing and promoting from within.

Duties will include:

• Direct the work of operatives and sub-contractors.
• Ensure environmental systems are implemented satisfactorily.
• Contribute to preparation of programme.
• Plan and order materials and plant to achieve programmes.
• Keep daily records of work carried out.
• Ensure that works proceed in accordance with site programmes.
• Ensure all plant on site is suitable for the task and conforms to current legislation.
• Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.

What you'll need to succeed

• CSCS card
• SMSTS
• Demonstrable experience as a Foreman with another civil engineering contractor
• Scottish Water experience (desirable)
• SPEN / Scottish Power experience (desirable)
• Ability to communicate with employees and direct labour.
